Discover Enroute Coffee

If you're ever in Taipei City, particularly in the Xinyi District, and looking for a cozy spot to grab a delicious cup of coffee, Enroute Coffee should be on your radar. Tucked away in Lane 202 on Hulin St, it's a hidden gem that has quickly become a favorite for locals and visitors alike. The café is located on the 1st floor of No. 25, offering a welcoming atmosphere that perfectly blends modern design with a touch of warmth and comfort.

Enroute Coffee isn't just a place to get a caffeine fix; it’s an experience. The moment you walk in, you’re greeted by the inviting aroma of freshly ground coffee beans, drawing you in like a siren’s call. Whether you’re someone who takes their coffee black or prefers something a bit more indulgent, the menu here caters to every taste. The team behind Enroute has a real passion for the craft of coffee brewing, which is evident in every cup they serve.

What makes Enroute Coffee stand out is their commitment to quality. The beans are sourced from the best coffee farms, and the baristas here know exactly how to bring out the unique flavors in each blend. One of their signature drinks is the "V60 Pour-Over," a method that ensures every drop of coffee is brewed to perfection. It’s not just about making coffee - it’s about making it with care. The baristas take their time, and you can taste the difference.

For those who aren’t regular coffee drinkers, don’t worry - there’s something on the menu for you too. Their selection of teas, fresh juices, and smoothies provide refreshing options for those seeking something a little lighter. Many customers rave about the matcha latte, which balances the earthy taste of matcha with just the right amount of creaminess. It’s a perfect drink if you're not in the mood for coffee but still want a treat.

The café’s vibe is another reason it’s become such a popular spot. The interior is minimalist yet cozy, with plenty of natural light streaming in from the windows. Whether you’re meeting a friend or just want to relax with a book, the space is ideal for unwinding. The ambiance is calm and peaceful, a stark contrast to the bustling streets of Taipei outside.

What’s more, Enroute Coffee doesn’t just serve great drinks; they’ve also got a menu full of delicious bites. From pastries to hearty sandwiches, the food options complement the drinks perfectly. If you're in the mood for something sweet, the croissants are a must-try - buttery, flaky, and fresh out of the oven. For something savory, the sandwiches are packed with flavor and made with high-quality ingredients. It’s the kind of food that pairs perfectly with a well-brewed cup of coffee.

Aside from their regular menu offerings, Enroute Coffee is also known for its seasonal specials. These rotate throughout the year, so there’s always something new to try. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable, always happy to offer recommendations or provide details about the beans used in their coffee, which makes the experience even more enjoyable. It’s clear that they want every customer to leave satisfied, whether it’s from a cup of expertly brewed coffee or a tasty meal.

Enroute Coffee’s location in Xinyi District also adds to its appeal. This area of Taipei is known for being a hub of activity, with plenty of shopping, entertainment, and culture just around the corner. After enjoying a cup of coffee at Enroute, you’re in the perfect spot to explore more of the district. Whether you’re heading to a nearby shopping mall or simply strolling around the neighborhood, the café offers a great starting point or a relaxing break in the middle of your day.

If you’re planning to visit, be sure to check out their opening hours and consider coming early, as this popular spot tends to fill up during peak hours. The friendly atmosphere and great coffee make Enroute Coffee the perfect place for a casual hangout, a productive work session, or just a quiet moment to enjoy your favorite drink.

  • They have a lot of homemade coffee , everyday has different coffee bean from different product, they have different flavors which is very interesting, you can choose different kinds coffee beans depends on your everyday mood! The latte is simple but smoothly. It was amazing to taste cold crew. Definitely can buy the coffee beans back.

  • Nice tranquil cafe located within quiet alley. Great selections of specialty coffee. They do their own roastings to ensure freshness. Make sure to give it a try when you’re in the neighborhood

  • the smoothest espresso i had in my life (sample size ~ 200 cafes across 3 countries) tried their cold brew and pour over was above standard but slightly pricey. Would recommend just going for the espresso drinks. Super smooth, with gentle taste notes. The store has an wide variety of beans roasted in the store.

  • Among the best espresso in Taipei and anywhere. Vibe similar to St. Kilda's on 44th/9th in NYC, but cleaner. Eclectic music gives a worldly feel, but at an appropriately low volume. Staff are incredibly friendly and relatable — something of a rarity at coffeehouses of this caliber. There is no WiFi, but the environment is perfect for reading and working. I'm not into drip, but the owner appears to be a local sensation with his expertise on full display as people watch and listen at the bartop. The taste of the espresso is distinct and, although more citrusy than my own preference, it is world class. Glad this place is in Taipei.
